Great medium-sized chalk stream awaits you in the midst of the south-eastern Slovenian hills in the wine growing region of Dolenjska. Radeščica, narrow but quite deep Karst river springs out under the solid rock of Kočevski Rog and slowly meanders across the meadows until it joins much larger (and more famous) Krka river.

Crystal clear water is rich with minerals. Underwater flora lushes from all the corners of the river. Trout, brown and rainbow, rise for the insects and lookout for them under the surface as well. Best time for chalk stream fly fishing at Radeščica is in spring – March, April and May.
